Our Pet Retention Initiative provides a consistent community presence that builds relationships with people where they are. Outreach Teams visit targeted communities once per month to distribute dog food and supplies. We do not have a facility. That means all our dogs live in homes where they can learn the skills necessary to become successful family members.
Fosters provide care for a dog until he or she is ready for adoption. There is a minimum two-week foster stay to get to know the dog, allow it to decompress, and to avoid transmission of illnesses.
Our 48-foot cargo trailer stands ready to evacuate dogs from disaster areas and to assist with hoarding situations. The trailer has a generator for climate control and lights, as well as tracks for safely securing crates during transport.
